A hindu mitológiában jártas indiai Demonic Resurrection új lemeze Vishnu tíz avatáráról szól, ahogy arról már korábban is írtunk. Ezúttal azonban zenével is jelentkezünk, ugyanis a death/black metal formáció közzétette az album nyitódalát, amelynek címe Matsya – The Fish. A Dashavatar című korong március 15-én jelenik meg a Demonstealer Records gondozásában.

Demonic Resurrection – Dashavatar (2017)

The Ominous Circle néven mutatkozik be a death metalt játszó portugál csapat. A debütalbum ma, azaz január 27-én jelenik meg Appalling Ascension címen a 20 Buck Spin és az Osmose Productions közös kiadványaként. A borítót Timo Ketola (Dead Congregation, Teitanblood…stb.) követte el, magát a lemezt pedig maradéktalanul meg lehet hallgatni az alábbiakban.

A Cynic február 10-én adja ki a korai demóinak teljes kollekcióját. Az Uroboric Forms – The Complete Demo Collection címen érkező kiadvány vinylen, 7” lemezen, digipak CD-n és egyéb különleges formában is napvilágot lát.

A gyűjtemény a következő demókat tartalmazza: Demo 1988, Refections Of A Dying World (1989), Demo 1990 és Demo 1991. A demók megmutatják a Cynic fejlődését a kezdeti death/thrash vonaltól a későbbi progresszív megközelítésig, amely a Focus című mestermű révén mindenkinek ismerős lehet. Rengeteg fotót, interjút, miegymást rejt a nem mindennapi kiadvány, melynek illusztrációját Manuel Tinnemans készítette.

Bónuszként két korábban kiadatlan nóta is helyet kap a kiadványon, az Uroboric Forms és a The Eagle Nature. Ezek a felvételek egy énekes meghallgatás alkalmával születtek, és Brian DeNeffe (Viogression) áll a mikrofon mögött.
