Dark Funeral, Naglfar az A38-on

Március 22-én egy rideg skandináv zenészkülönítmény fekszi meg az A38 hajó gyomrát. Az est fő attrakciója a svéd illetőségű, könyörtelen black metalt prezentáló Dark Funeral, mely a szcéna legpokolibb hadigépezetének tekinthető. Előttük a valamivel dallamosabb, de szintén szélvészgyors dalokkal operáló svéd Naglfar, továbbá egy finn (Amoral) és egy osztrák (Asmodeus) death-black csapat tombol majd.

 Dark Funeral története Svédországban kezdődött, ahol Lord Ahriman és Blackmoon megalapították a black metal eme pokoli hadigépezetét. 1994-es megszületése, és az akkor kiadott legendás bemutatkozó miniCD-jük kiadása óta sok minden történt a bandával: tagcserék, újabb és újabb lenyűgöző albumok, turnék nem kevesebb, mint 35 országban, olyan neves előadókkal, mint a Dimmu Borgir, a Cannibal Corpse, a Deicide vagy az Immortal.
A DF tavaly májusban vonult be a Dug Out Studio-ba producerükkel, – a Meshuggah, az In Flames és a Strapping Young Lad kapcsán már jól ismert – Daniel Bergstranddal, hogy felvegyék legújabb alkotásukat. Több részletben készült az új anyag, az első felvételeket augusztusban a vokális részek követték, majd a keverés, míg végül augusztus 18-án elkészült a Dark Funeral legújabb mesterműve, az „Attera Totus Sanctus“ album, mely gyakorlatilag minden nyugati kritikusnál maximális pontszámot érdemelt ki. Az Apokalipszis tehát újra itt van: március 22-én élőben is végighallgathatjuk a svéd hadigépezet dübörgését!

Az ősi skandináv legendák szerint az evilág sorsát beteljesítő sötét démonok egy Naglfar nevű hajón érkeznek majd el. E halálthozó járműről kapta nevét az est másik fő attrakciója, melyet Jens Rydén és Kristoffer W. Olivius neve fémjelez. Ugyan már jó tíz éve működnek, sokan azonban csak az elmúlt időkben figyeltek fel rájuk.. pedig már a debütáló „Vittra” albumukat is a nagy Peter Tägtgren Abyss stúdiójában rögzítették, 1995-ben, és ezt a művet azóta is a black metal alaplemezei között tartják számon. Dalaikban mesterien ötvözik a stílusra jellemző brutalitást a – valamivel – emészthetőbb, heavy metalos dallamokkal, és ennek megfelelően előszeretettel hasonlítják magukat a jól ismert Dissection-höz.

Sajnos a tagcserék többször is kifogták a szelet a Naglfar vitorlájából, így a debütöt követő „Diabolical” album csak 1998-ban jelenik meg. Ezután már a Deicide-dal turnéznak, majd újabb hosszas veszteglés után 2001-ben érkezik egy EP, aztán a harmadik, „Sheol” (2003) című korong. Az alapító-énekes Jens ezt követő távozása után Kristoffer Olivius basszusgitáros vette át az énekesi teendőket, és a zenekar negyedik, Pariah című legújabb korongja már az ő hangjával került rögzítésre. E lemezen egyértelműen érezhető készítőinek évtizedes gyakorlata, és letisztult, kikristályosodott stílusa, melynek köszönhetően a Naglfar mind a mai napig egyike az oly kevés eredeti hangú és hangulatú black metal zenekaroknak.

A svéd extrém metal kettős előtt két valamivel fiatalabb, de nem kevésbé belevaló banda izzítja majd be az egybegyűlteket, név szerint a finn dallamos death metalban utazó Amoral, és az osztrák blacker-klán, az Asmodeus.

Új albummal jelentkezik az Enochian Crescent zenekar.Néhány szó a zenekarról:

A zenekar 95-ben alakult Finnországban, alapító tagok: Wrath (vocal) and Victor (gitár). Hamarosan Generis (dobok), Anshelm (gitár), Harald (bass) csatlakozott hozzájuk. Egy élő fellépés után a helyi Woodcut Records-hoz szerződtek, majd „Anno Bastardi” címmel promót készítettek, amit a „Telocvovim” album követett. Anshelm még ezelőtt elhagyta a bandát és helyére Michael Apofis került. 98-ban egy MCD-t rögzítettek „Babalon Patralx de Telocvovim” címmel, majd az Avantgarde Musichoz kerültek. 99-ben Generis kilépett, 2000-ben új album készült „Omega Telocvovim” címen.

2002-re az összes tag lecserélődött, Wrath kivételével.2002 és 2003 között csak 4 dal íródott, ebből 3 egy splitre került a Black Dawn és O zenekarokkal, egy pedig a korai albumok újrakiadásán bonusz szám. A split lemez 2005-ben jelent meg, a zenekar új lemeze pedig ebben az új évben jelenik meg a 11. évfordulóra Black Church címmel.

Néhány szó a lemezről a zenekar tolmácsolásában: 2005-ben a csapat immár megújult felállással állt neki a felvételeknek. Az élő koncerteken nagyon jól érezték magukat, „mint egy 5 fejű black metál szörny” és ezt az érzést akarják visszaadni az albumon is. A végső cél egy szervesebb, ezoterikus hangzásvilág a hallgató bevonásával.

Ezzel az inspirációval látottak neki, teljesen beleélték magukat a dalszerzésbe, hogy minél komplexebb dalok szülessenek.”A Black Church-t nem emberi kezek építették, saját maga által készült, ami odaadásunkkal egy ismeretlen lény felé. Mintha már kezdetektől ott lett volna, a megírásra várva.”–Dr. von Pfosforus.Az album témája a rejtett tudás, a teremtés pusztító erői, vallás. „Ez a spirituális erő adja az album tökéletességét”

Az Indianapolis-i Demiricous zenekar elérhetővé tette „Vagrant Idol” című dalának videóklipjét ITT. A dal a death/thrash metal csapat tavaly megjelent „One (Hellbound)” című bemutatkozó lemezén hallható.

Új információt az Amon Hen utódjával kapcsolatban a www.fuan21.hu oldalon találhattok. Az Amon Hen soha nem oszlott fel, mára a név Fuan 21– re változott, de a felállás még mindig a régi.

A finn Lullacry zenekar zenekar elérhetővé tette „Fire Within” című dalának koncertvideóját ITT. (.MPG file, 28 MB) A felvétel 2004 augusztus 30-án a Cajun House-ban (Phoenix) Arizona készültek.

Elkészült az új „Threshold of Revelation” című Twelfth Gate album borítója. Megtekinthető ITT. A felvételek a Studio One-ban  Racine készültek Chris Djuricic (NOVEMBERS DOOM, MICHAEL ANGELO BATIO, ENFORSAKEN) producer segítségével.
