Máris itt az ausztrál Deströyer 666 hosszú szünet után megjelenő új lemezének egyik szerzeménye, a Live and Burn. A black/thrash formáció Wildfire című albumát február 26-tól érdemes keresni a Season of Mistnél, addig ismerkedjetek meg az új nótával.

A Bloodiest név egy chicagói sludge gorombulatot takar. A Suffer című dalukkal már a napokban megismerkedhettek a szemfülesek, de akik lemaradtak róla, kattintsanak a szám címére. A szerzemény, egyébként, a zenekar nevét viselő kettes lemezről származik, akárcsak a He Is Disease. Az utóbbival alább köthettek barátságot, a lemezzel pedig január 15-től kezdődően.

A német zenekar 2014-es zseniális The Turn of the Tides lemezét követően tavaly sem maradtunk Empyrium kiadvány nélkül. Szeptember 19-én jelentette meg a Prophecy kiadó a The Mill című kétszámos EP-t, és mivel a zenekar ezt megosztotta a nagyérdeművel, mi is eljuttatjuk hozzátok a kiadványt.

A zenéjét a skandináv viking metal spanyol megfelelőjének tartó Hordak január 10-én jelenteti meg immáron negyedik nagylemezét. Az ibériaiak a Padre címadó dalát már most megosztották, hogy a stílus kedvelői betekintést nyerhessenek az új anyagba.

A tervek szerint a Metal Church március 25-én jelentkezik 11. nagylemezével, amelynek egyszerűen csak a XI nevet választották, és amely egyben a legendás énekes, Mike Howe visszatérését is jelenti. A visszatéréshez vezető események még 2014 júliusában vették kezdetüket, amikor az énekes a Metal Church gitáros Kurdt Vanderhoof és a Saxon dobos Nigel Glockler társaságában új projektbe kezdett. Ekkor győzte meg Kurdt, hogy csatlakozzon újra a bandához. A vokalista elmondása szerint: „Kezdetben nem tudnam eldönteni, hogy térjek-e vissza vagy sem, azonban miután meghallottam a Kurdt által írt riffeket, egyszerűen nem tudtam ellenállni, és is részese akartam lenni mindennek!”
A tervek szerint a lemezzel a The Human Factor, Blessing In Disguise és Hanging In The Balance albumok mágiáját akarja visszahozni a heavy metal banda, ennek első lépéseként pedig megosztották a No Tomorrow című számhoz készített klipet, amelynek felvételeire egy elhagyott atomerőműben került sor.

December 28-án, 70 éves korában hunyt el a nemzetközi metal színtér egyik legikonikusabb alakja, Lemmy Kilmister, és távozásával a Motörhead gépezet is végleg leáll. A legendát január 9-én kísérik utolsó útjára családtagjai és barátai, az esemény pedig a Motörhead hivatalos YouTube csatornáján élőben követhető lesz (magyar idő szerint este 23:30 órától).

Íme a hivatalos közlemény: „Január 9-én, szombaton a világ barátunk, Ian ‘Lemmy’ Kilmister életét fogja ünnepelni. A hoolywoodi Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery temetőben megtartásra kerülő gyászszertartáson a családtagok és a közeli barátok fognak részt venni.
