Eyze – beavatási szertartás

A súlyos atmoszférájú black/doom metalban utazó portugál Eyze projekt Lost in Emptiness címmel jelentette meg egy titokzatos törzs fiatalfiúk felnőttkorba történő nem hétköznapi beavatási rituáléját elmesélő lemezét. 
A történet röviden:

„A fiatalfiúkat a törzstől egy külön helyre hurcoltál, ahol 20 napig ketrecben zárva maradtak, bizonyítva, hogy elég erősek ahhoz, hogy legyőzzék a halált. A 20 nap alatt naponta egy Wysocannak neveznek hallucinogén drogot kaptak, amiktől elveszítik összes gyermekkori emlékeiket. A fiatalokat a szertartás előtt a törzs vénjei 6 évre a sötét erdőbe száműzik. Midőn eljön az ideje hazatérnek, és átesnek ezen szertaráson.”

Devouring Faith címmel máris itt az első hivatalos videó a brazil death metalos Krisiun tizenegyedik albumáról. A Scourge Of The Enthroned címmel ellátott lemez szeptember 7-én jön ki. „Ez színtiszta és könyörtelen death metal – bele az arcodba!”

Inexorum – a ’90-es évek dallamos black/death metal zenéje

Az egyszemélyes black metal formációként működő Inexorum – Lore of the Lakes címmel adta ki bemutatkozó lemezét.

A projekt mestere Carl Skildum (Antiverse, Threadbare, Obsequiae), a korai Naglfar, Sacramentum, Dawn lemezek által ihletve írta meg első albumát, melynek koncepciója Minnesota folyói és természeti csodái köré épül. Ennek kapcsán így nyilatkozott:

„Nagyon örülök, hogy végre megoszthatom ezt az albumot. 2017 tavaszát és telét azzal töltöttem, hogy felzárkózva a padlásomra megalkossak néhány dalt, a ’90-es évek dallamos black/death metal zenéje iránti tiszteletem nyomán. Az elmúlt években sokat dolgoztam teljes felállású bandákkal, de mindeddig még sosem gondoltam arra, hogy saját magam hozzak össze egy dalkollekciót, ami egyébként egy fantasztikus kihívás. A zord tél, amit az ablakon át láttam, nagymértékű ihletett adott a zeneszerzésben, nem is beszélve arról, milyen szép Minnesota természete és tájai. Nagyon hálás vagyok a Gilead Mediának, hogy segített az album megvalósításában, és persze barátomnak, Matt Kirkwold-nak, aki basszusgitáron játszik, és egyben elvégezte az album keverését.„
