Hamarosan elő lemezét adja ki az egykori svéd glam legenda, a Shotgun Messiah énekese Zinny Zan és gitárosa, Harry K. Cody alkotta új projekt, a Zan/Cody. Beautiful ‘N Damned című lemezük július 24-én fog megjelenni.

„Mintha bezárult volna egy kör, hogy ismét összeálltunk Harryvel.” – mondja Zinny Zan. „Annak idején különleges zenét alkottunk, amire ma is világszerte jól emlékeznek a rajongók, most pedig készen állunk rá, hogy a jövőbe is átültessük ezt az energiát.”

A 10 dalos albumukat Chris Laney (Pretty Maids, Crazy Lixx) producerrel rögzítették, első kedvcsinálójaként pedig máris itt van Damn című daluk hivatalos videója.

Equation II – The Antithesis of Life and Free Will címmel június 12-én jelenik meg BalashToth, vagyis az ex-Casketgarden gitáros-dalszerzője Tóth Balázs, és japán énekes Deathmetalvoicer közös projektjének első nagylemeze. Az album második előzeteseként Self = Dark Side című daluk videója ismerhető meg.

A Equation II – The Antithesis of Life and Free Will lezárja az eddigi anyagokon (2023-as Anti-Life EP és a 2024-es =Equation= EP) megkezdett Anti-Life Equation (életellenes egyenlet) koncepciót, ezúttal személyesebb, közelebbi nézőpontból megközelítve a témát. Érdekesség még, hogy Tóth Ádám (Kajgün, ex-The Dethroners, Art of Dethronement) brácsán, illetve Moog szintetizátoron 3 dalban is közreműködik. A borítóhoz használt fotókat Jakab Péter, a mosonmagyaróvári brutal death metal zenekar, a Depths of Depravity korábbi énekese készítette. A lemez keverését és masterelését pedig maga Balázs végezte.

A kilenc dalos lemez Balázs saját Not-Even-Music kiadója mellett, a magyar Metal Ör Die Records és a román Pest Records is részt vesz a megjelenésben. Az album Digipack CD formátumban (100 darabra limitált, kézzel sorszámozott kiadásban), valamint normál Jewel Case CD-n jelenik meg. Az előrendelés már elkezdődött!

None But One címmel mutatta be új dalának hivatalos klipjét az amerikai post-hardcore duó, a Being As An Ocean. A klipet Alexander Contreras és Tommy English rendezte. A dal pedig hamarosan megjelenő albumukon, a Dear G-d… Vol. 2-n fog majd szerepelni. 

Denigration címmel megjelent a brit metalcore banda, az Ingested új nagylemeze, ami az alábbiakban hallgatható végig. Az anyag pikantériája, hogy a zenekar a finisben rúgta ki a lemezén debütálni készülő frontemberét, Josh Daviest. Őt Andrew Virrueta gitáros/énekes váltotta, aki a teljes anyagot újra énekelte.

„Ez a lemez zeneileg mindent egyesít, amibe csak belenyúltunk az évek során. Zúzda, groove, dallam, sötét disszonancia egyesül itt. Inkább definitív kijelentés az album, mintsem újragondolás.”

Az Ingested jelenlegi felállása: Sean Hynes gitáros, Lyn Jeffs dobos, Andrew Virrueta gitáros/énekes és Thomas O’Malley basszusgitáros.

A német Daniel Uersfeld zenei víziója egy sűrű, kozmikus black metal projektben öltött testet, amely a műfajra jellemző sebességet és kíméletlenséget filmes hatású szintetizátorfutamokkal ellensúlyozza. A Celestial Deconstruction 2024-ben vált teljessé, amikor a luxemburgi Philip Breuer csatlakozott vokalistaként és szövegíróként, hogy hangot adjon a nagyszabású zenei vázlatoknak. Az együttműködés gyümölcse a Vendetta Records gondozásában megjelenő Transcosmic Spillover lett, amelynek felvételei és utómunkálatai a Tidalwave Studio, valamint a két zenész saját műhelyei között oszlottak meg.

Az album lírai koncepciója egyfajta intellektuális és disztópikus svédasztal: egyszerre tiszteleg Stanislaw Lem és Arthur C. Clarke sci-fi klasszikusai előtt, miközben Nietzsche, Schopenhauer és Seneca filozófiai mélységeit kutatja. A dalok a „Vanitas” fogalma köré csoportosulnak, éles kritikával illetve az emberi gőgöt, a technológiai vakhitet és a fasizmus felé hajló ösztönöket. A Misanthropic Art által jegyzett borító hűen tükrözi ezt az eszmeiséget, egy parazita technológiai istenséget ábrázolva, amely éppen akkor avatkozik be, amikor az emberiség kétségbeesetten nyúl a végső ismeretlen felé. Az album logója sem véletlen: a zenekar nevének kezdőbetűi egy fekete lyuk eseményhorizontját és akkréciós korongját formázzák meg, utalva arra a gravitációs sötétségre, ahonnan nincs visszatérés. A kiadvány már teljes egészében meghallgatható.

Június 26-án az Eclipse Records gondozásában érkezik a svéd Outshine legújabb nagylemeze, a Truthsayer. A formáció a „dark alternative metal” gyűjtőfogalom alatt mozog, ami a gyakorlatban gazdag gitármunkát, kísérteties billentyűs futamokat és Jimmy Boman mély tónusú, hipnotikus énekét jelenti. Az album a Studio Meltdown falai között nyerte el végső formáját, ahol a produceri és hangmérnöki feladatokat maga az énekes, valamint a Manimal soraiból ismert Kenny Boufadene látta el.

A kilenc tételes korong tematikája láthatóan a belső üresség és a társadalmi feszültségek körül forog, amit olyan dalcímek jeleznek, mint az Emptiness Inside, az I Am Darkness vagy a két részre osztott World Ending Fascists. A zenekar stílusa a gótikus rock borúját ötvözi a modern metal dinamikájával. A megjelenést megelőzően az Enough és a You Are Not Alone dalokhoz már videoklip is készült, amelyek jól szemléltetik a svédek rideg, mégis érzelmes zenei világát.
